What skills and experience we're looking for

Teaching Assistant

Required to work 5 days per week term time only

Teaching Assistant 30 hours per week in total (5 days).

Lunchtime support 2.5 hours

Hours:

Morning session: 8.30-12.00 pm

Lunchtime support: 12.30-1.00 pm

Afternoon Session: 1.00-3.30 pm

Pay Scale: Grade D Scale Point 4

Start Date: 13/04/2026

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant with the special skills, knowledge and passion to work as part of a team to support Foundation stage and KS1 children with SEN needs and to support lessons in Foundation stage, KS1 and 2. Candidates will be supporting KS1 pupils through interventions. The successful applicant will have the desire to make a real difference to the educational outcomes and is proactive in developing his/her own skills in learning how best to support children with SEN. Our new colleague will work as part of a highly functioning team and have the desire to add to the greater work of the school. Experience is preferable but not essential as training will be given.

Candidates need to have GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.

The successful applicant will also be required to support at lunchtime for 30 minutes per working day.
