What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a Headteacher for Newbridge Primary School, Bath who will:

• Provide strong strategic and operational leadership, sustaining the school’s vision, ethos and drive for continuous improvement in partnership with governors, staff and the community.
• Champion a positive, inclusive and nurturing culture where every child is valued, respected and well prepared for the next stage of life.
• Ensure high-quality teaching, learning and curriculum design, enabling all pupils, including disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND, to thrive.
• Lead a broad, balanced and coherent curriculum, using assessment effectively to identify gaps and improve outcomes.
• Model a robust safeguarding culture, ensuring pupils’ wellbeing, behaviour and safety are central to all practice and decision-making.
• Develop, motivate and retain a high-performing staff team through strong professional relationships and high-quality development.
• Manage people, systems and resources effectively, building strong partnerships and ensuring financial stability, accountability and statutory compliance.
• Work openly and transparently with governors, supporting them in their role of strategic oversight, accountability and challenge, and ensuring the school meets all statutory and regulatory requirements.
