We are seeking a qualified and motivated candidate to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to our outstanding History and Politics Department. We are a high-performing, dedicated and caring team, with a passion for teaching and learning.

What the school offers its staff

• The History and Politics Department achieves outstanding results at Key Stages 4 and 5, significantly above national averages
• The department is a strong and thriving team of six teachers. We deliver History at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level, with excellent student uptake at both GCSE and A Level
• The department also delivers the Edexcel A Level Politics course, which is a popular and successful option
• We pride ourselves on the breadth of our curriculum, particularly our commitment to diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, gender and wider perspectives. We believe that studying the past enables our students to better understand the contemporary world
• The department is very well resourced, with excellent electronic resources, textbooks and magazines. Staff enjoy creating and sharing high-quality resources within a supportive and collegiate environment
