What They Need

• Construction‑related qualification (BSc, HNC/HND preferred but not essential)
• Strong estimating experience within construction or refurbishment
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and contract documents
• Strong numerical, analytical and IT skills
• Excellent communication and client‑facing ability
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Positive, proactive attitude and commitment to professional standards
• Full UK driving licence

Role Overview

Reporting to a Senior Manager, the Estimator will prepare accurate and competitive tenders across a range of construction and refurbishment projects. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure all tenders are compliant, well‑presented and aligned with company standards. The role involves pricing works, preparing bills of quantities, obtaining subcontractor quotations, assessing risks, supporting bid submissions and contributing to the overall success of the department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tenders, estimates and cost plans
• Analyse drawings, specifications and project information
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Prepare bills of quantities and pricing schedules
• Identify risks, value‑engineering opportunities and programme considerations
• Support bid submissions and tender presentations
• Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams
• Maintain accurate estimating records and tender documentation
• Assist with handover to project delivery teams

Hours
Full‑time, 40 hours per week
Mon–Thu: 08:00–17:00
Fri: 08:00–16:30
