The Scheme Manager is an essential role within the team. Working from an office based at the scheme, managing the building and residents, you would be part of a team of 12 scheme managers located in the South West, reporting to a Housing Officer who works remotely.
The role of Scheme Manager will include:
- Encourage residents to maintain their well-being and independence through the effective delivery of high quality, safe and value for money housing support services that meet their identified needs and organisational objectives
- Meet all legislative and regulatory requirements for housing services activities to ensure clean and safe homes for the Group’s customers, including undertaking compliance testing, risk assessments and scheme inspections and ensuring faults are reported and monitored
- Promote resident involvement and provide information on local community services and agencies to promote well-being and independence
- Effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders, service providers including contractors and residents, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately
- Coordinate the delivery of local services to ensure the scheme(s) are maintained and kept clean and secure, in accordance with Group standards and lease obligations
- Provide administrative support for the delivery of high quality and value for money housing services, including maintaining accurate records and supporting resales
- Assist the Housing Officer with the setting and monitoring of budgets and accounts and support effective income recovery
Skills and experiences:
- Numeracy and literacy to the equivalent of GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths
- Some experience of working with older people in a support capacity and understanding their individual needs or similar
- Working knowledge of the key needs and services available to residents
- Working knowledge of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Some experience of problem solving and implementing effective solutions, including referrals as needed
- Ability to interpret and maintain computerised information and documentation

The full time equivalent salary for this role is £25,374 based on 37.5 hours per week rising to £26,159 after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance
