This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on chef who loves creating fresh, wholesome food while managing the day-to-day running of a fast-paced catering operation.You’ll oversee the full kitchen and front-of-house service, manage a small team, and ensure the canteen operates smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards.What You’ll Be DoingManaging the daily running of the onsite canteen, serving breakfast and lunch to production and office staffPlanning menus, ordering stock, managing suppliers and ensuring cost-effective operationsCooking fresh, high-quality meals to meet the needs of a busy manufacturing workforceSupervising and developing a small teamEnsuring excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen cleanliness at all timesManaging budgets, portion control and stock rotationProviding a friendly, welcoming service and maintaining a positive atmosphere within the canteenContinuously improving the service offering, introducing new ideas and seasonal dishesWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or similar leadership roleStrong knowledge of kitchen operations within contract catering, corporate catering, or high-volume environmentsExcellent organisation skills with the ability to run a kitchen independentlyExperience managing and mentoring junior staffStrong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (Level 3 Food Safety ideal)Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards and a positive attitudeReliable, proactive, and passionate about delivering great food and great serviceWhat’s On Offer£38,000 - £40,000 + benefitsMonday–Friday Supportive working environment within a respected manufacturing businessAutonomy to shape menus and improve canteen offeringOpportunities for development and stability
