Connect Appointments are recruiting a skilled CAD/CAM Operative to join our client's growing team in East Kilbride. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with technical expertise and a keen eye for detail to play a key role in the design and manufacturing process.

- Working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
- Paid at £28,000 per annum - depending on experience

Working as a CAD/CAM Operative, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and modifying 2D and 3D designs using CAD software
- Converting CAD designs into CAM programs for CNC machinery
- Testing and simulating designs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation of designs and programs.
- Troubleshooting issues with designs, programming, or machinery
- Working closely with engineers and production teams to improve efficiency
- Working with other teams to implement any changes to drafts as soon as possible
- Conducting research - when required
To be successful in this CAD/CAM Operative position, you'll have previous experience working in a CAD/CAM role, along with being proficient using software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Other key skills, traits and experience include:
- A completed course in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) - beneficial
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
