Our client is seeking a hands‑on and reliable Maintenance Assistant to support the smooth day‑to‑day running of their facilities. Key ResponsibilitiesWorking as part of the facilities team, your duties will include:
- Carrying out routine maintenance and basic repairs across the site
- Supporting planned preventative maintenance activities
- Assisting external contractors and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
- Responding to maintenance tickets and resolving issues promptly
- Conducting regular building checks and reporting faults
- Maintaining tools and equipment to a high standard
- Supporting room setups, furniture moves, and operational tasks
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and organisational standards
About YouOur client is looking for someone who brings:
- Previous maintenance, caretaking, or practical DIY experience (desirable but not essential)
- A basic understanding of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or general building repairs
- A proactive approach with strong problem‑solving skills
- A reliable, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues and contractors
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
- A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
