  About the Role (Key Responsibilities):
  As a Yard Driver, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction machinery maintenance operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Washing and maintaining machinery to high standards

    
    

  • General yard housekeeping and organisation

    
    

  • Managing customer interactions safely and professionally

    
    

  • Driving HGV Class 2 trucks for holiday and sickness cover, occasionally operating 7.2-tonne trucks

    
    

  • Supporting yard operations as required to keep the area efficient and safe

    
    

    This role is ideal for someone with experience as a HGV Class 1 or 2 driver looking to transition into a yard role, or a yardperson comfortable driving HGV vehicles when needed.

    About You (Skills & Experience):
    To succeed in this Yard Driver role, you will need:

    • HGV Class 2 licence or Class 1 License is essential

      
      

    • Good communication skills and strong health and safety awareness

      
      

    • Customer-focused attitude with teamwork skills

      
      

    • Self-motivation, organisation, and attention to detail

      
      

    • Some knowledge of construction machinery is helpful but not essential

      
      

      To be successful as a Yard Driver, you may have worked as a: Yard Driver, Yardperson, HGV Driver, Class 2 Driver, Yard Operative, Plant Yard Driver, Logistics Driver, Construction Vehicle Driver, Yard Assistant, Yardman
