Crynodeb

This role provides a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to undertake scientific research in battery sensing, development, characterisation and modelling.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional, collaboration funded by the Faraday Institution. Academic partners in the project include Imperial College, London and the universities of Birmingham, Oxford, Southampton, Portsmouth, Bristol.


You will need a PhD in a relevant subject, and experience of the theory and practice of sensor development, battery modelling and testing.

You will ideally have experience of battery development including the experimental assessment / characterisation of battery and/or novel sensing technologies.

You will have excellent communication skills, be flexible, and be able to work independently and as part of a research team with diverse skills and backgrounds.

You will have undertaken complimentary research or development in one or more of the above areas and be able to demonstrate your capability through appropriate academic experience/publication.
