Are you ready to move beyond the traditional classroom and immerse your students in a real-world, employer-led curriculum? The WMG Academy for Young Engineers in Coventry, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is seeking an outstanding and innovative practitioner to inspire the next generation of digital leaders.

This is not a traditional teaching role. It is a unique opportunity to design and lead an innovative approach to Computer Science with access to industry-standard hardware and software. This role is available due to the Academy's expansion to include a new Year 9 cohort from September 2026, offering more young people the chance to benefit earlier from our unique technical education.

Why WMG Academy?

Employer-Led Ethos: Work directly with global industry giants like Jaguar Land Rover, National Grid, and Rolls-Royce to deliver real-world projects and ensure students learn the skills actually used in the tech sector.

Cutting-Edge Facilities: Teach in a hub of innovation with dedicated ICT and CAD/CAM suites, providing unrivalled access to industry-standard software.

Academic Excellence: Join a team with a highly successful sixth form that consistently ranks at the top of the city's performance tables.

Professional Growth: Benefit from visionary leadership and a culture that empowers you to develop your own pedagogical and technical skills.

Vibrant Enrichment: Contribute to a world-class enrichment programme that includes F1 in Schools, CanSat, and Robotics.

The Role

We are looking for a resilient and enthusiastic teacher who will deliver engaging lessons across the full ability range (Years 9–13), including:

Key Stage 4: A core focus on STEM, including Triple Science and Engineering, alongside options like Computer Science and Business.

Key Stage 5: A flexible, high-performance pathway including A-Levels, technical qualifications, and the T-Level in Digital.

Year 9 Foundation: A themed curriculum designed to spark curiosity and build the technical vocabulary needed for GCSE success.

You will be a dedicated pastoral tutor, working closely with an identified cohort to provide support and conduct individual progress reviews.

Salary: Main Scale

Start Date: September 2026

Location: Coventry, West Midlands (near the University of Warwick)
