A Vacancy at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Suitable for newly qualified nurses/ODP's

Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic theatre team here at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are currently looking for newly qualified nurses/ODP's or with theatre experience, especially in orthopaedics. We are recruiting Band 5 Theatre Practitioners to join our highly committed team across theatres. We are open to offer full time, part time and flexible opportunities.

The team at the Royal Orthopaedic NHS Foundation Trust provides a holistic approach when caring for a wide range of patients with complex musculoskeletal, spinal and oncology conditions, many of whom require high dependency care.

As one of the country’s few Elective Orthopaedic Specialist Hospitals, ‘The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital’ receives referrals & transfers only and therefore has no ‘Emergency Department’. This allows our nurses & ODPs to focus their attention on the delivery of truly holistic and patient centred care.
NB: Early application is encouraged, as the advert may close once a high number of applications has been received.

With multi-professional team working we are continually enhancing the patient journey and experience with high quality, evidence-based care delivery. This includes, Critical Care Outreach, Tissue Viability, Safeguarding, Infection Prevention and Control any many more…. We even have our own community service, Royal Orthopaedic Community Service (ROCS)!

We have a strong commitment to education and training and will provide a comprehensive package of learning and skills-based competency, supported by senior clinical staff. All new starters will be offered a period of supernumerary practice. If you are newly qualified with recent theatres experience, you will be allocated a Preceptor to support you and access the Trust Preceptorship process.

The post holder will:
• Practice autonomously and be responsible and accountable for safe, compassionate, person centred care.
• Ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered in an effective and efficient manner, reflecting the values and ethos of The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
• Be responsible for assessing care needs of patients. Planning, implementation and the evaluation of these programmes without direct supervision.

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest specialist orthopaedic units in Europe. We offer planned orthopaedic surgery to people locally, nationally and internationally.

Our Trust is a very special hospital; big enough to deliver world class services and small enough to offer exceptional patient and staff experience. We offer a working experience unique in the West Midlands and we're always on the lookout for passionate people to join our award-winning team.

The ROH is an equal opportunities employer. We employ people of difference and are committed to growing an inclusive culture, where difference is celebrated, and people feel able to bring their whole and authentic self to work.

We are a Disability Confident Leader and offer a range of inclusive, family friendly and flexible working arrangements and policies, to support our people in the workplace.

The Trust is committed to the Disability Confident Interview Scheme and will offer an interview to disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for a vacancy and consider them on their abilities.

If you have a disability and need any support with your application or require any reasonable adjustments to be implemented please do get in touch with the Recruiting Manager for this position so that the team can support you.
