Working Hours: Part-time, 10 hours.
Days of Work: 2 days per week - Monday and Friday.
Transport: Please note that our location is not accessible by public transport. Therefore, a valid driving licence and access to a car, or another reliable means of transport, are essential for this role.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Assistant to join our Garwnant team! Be part of creating special escapes in one of Wales’ most beautiful forest locations, surrounded by rushing rivers and 400 acres of Welsh woodland. Develop your skills while providing outstanding service to our guests, gaze up at exceptionally starry skies in this Dark Sky Reserve, and listen to the cheerful songs of willow warblers.
About the Operations Assistant role:
Open all year round, our Operations Assistant plays a vital role in creating an exceptional guest experience. Key responsibilities include:
➡️ Carry out painting, decorating, and finishing tasks across cabin interiors and exteriors
➡️ Prepare surfaces correctly, including cleaning, sanding, and minor repairs, before painting
➡️ Maintain cabins to a high standard, ensuring they are well presented year-round
➡️ Use tools, materials, and equipment safely and competently
➡️ Pay close attention to detail to ensure a professional, high-quality finish
➡️ Complete tasks efficiently while meeting agreed timescales
➡️ Follow brand standards to ensure a consistent “Forest Feeling” guest experience
➡️ Take pride in delivering excellent customer service and supporting positive guest impressions

Our ideal Operations Assistant will be a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a can-do attitude, ensuring our cabins are always presented to the highest standard. You’ll be a team player, capable of building strong working relationships with colleagues, and you’ll take pride in delivering a professional finish every time.
We’re looking for someone with:
✅ A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
✅ The ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
✅ Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on high-quality decorating
✅ Some previous experience in painting, decorating, or a similar role.
✅ A willingness to work outdoors in a natural setting, whatever the weather.

Pay Rates for Aged 16 and 17:
16 years: £7.55 per hour
17 years: £10.00 per hour
