1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant (Year 1)
Humly is recruiting a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role starting 23 February 2026 and continuing until 17 July 2026, covering the full Spring and Summer terms. This role would suit an experienced SEN support professional who is calm, patient, and confident supporting a child with complex needs in a Key Stage 1 setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil throughout the school day
Support speech and language development for a non-verbal pupil
Assist with behavioural regulation and emotional support
Deliver personal care in line with school policies and training
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow support plans
Promote engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion within the classroom
What You’ll Bring
Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a primary or EYFS/KS1 setting
Confidence working with speech and language needs and non-verbal communication
Experience managing behavioural needs in a calm and supportive manner
Willingness to provide personal care where required
A patient, reliable, and nurturing approach
Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Pay
£14.85 per hour
