We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join us as the Deputy Head of Performing Arts.
This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.
The person appointed will support the Head of Area to lead a team of staff in the delivery, development and improvement of all learning programmes within Performing Arts.
Day to day duties
- Supporting the design and development of a wide curriculum that meets the needs of learners, supports growth, and enables them to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours they need to progress into meaningful sustained destinations.
- Managing and developing the implementation of the curriculum that creates an outstanding learner experience.
- Managing, motivating and developing a team of staff and supporting their career journeys while championing a cycle of continuous improvement.
Required skills and qualifications
- Level 4 Teaching Qualification.
- A Vocational qualification at a minimum of Level 3, which is appropriate to the area.
- Knowledge and experience of current teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
