This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse-qualified professional who enjoys leadership, clinical oversight, and supporting teams to deliver outstanding care to older people.This nursing home deputy manager role will suit a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) who is passionate about quality, compliance, and person-centred care within an elderly care home.The RoleAs Clinical Deputy Manager you will work closely with the Care Home Manager, you will support the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective running of the home, deputising when required and leading on clinical and care standards. As a Nursing Home Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the culture of the home, supporting staff, and ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and compassionate care.You will also act as clinical lead for the service, providing guidance, supervision, and leadership to nursing and care teams while maintaining high clinical and quality standards.Key Responsibilities

• Support the Care Home Registered Manager in day-to-day operations and leadership
• Deputise in the absence of the Nursing Home Manager
• Act as clinical lead for nursing and care practice
• As Nursing Home Deputy Manager you will act as a Senior Nurse / Nurse Manager to lead on clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement
• Ensure delivery of high-quality care for older people
• Support, motivate, and develop a diverse staff team
• As Nursing Home Deputy Manager you will communicate effectively with residents, families, professionals, and stakeholdersAbout You
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
• Experience working in a nursing or care home for older people
• Proven leadership experience as a care home deputy manager or in a similar role
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of best practice in elderly care
• Confident senior nurse with excellent communication and people-management skills
• Experience leading teams and driving high standards of care
• Passionate about delivering outstanding care and supporting staff developmentQualifications
• NMC pin / Nurse qualification - RGN / RMN
• Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management (desirable)
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in health and social care (desirable)Salary & Benefits
