Parker Hose & Fittings Ltd are looking to recruit an experienced individual from within the hydraulic industry to join and strengthen our Hydraulic Department in Newcastle upon Tyne.
This is a key, hands-on role suited to someone currently working for a hydraulic hose and fittings supplier who is confident operating across sales, administration and warehouse functions and is looking for a stable, long-term position with responsibility.
The Role
You will be involved in the day-to-day running of the hydraulic department, supporting management while taking ownership of customer orders, quotations, system processing and operational coordination between office and warehouse.
This role blends order taking, quoting, administration and practical hydraulic knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking customer orders and preparing quotations
- Processing sales and purchase orders using Sage 200
- Providing technical support on hydraulic hoses, fittings and components
- Liaising with suppliers and managing stock-related administration
- Supporting trade counter activity when required
- Coordinating workflow between office and warehouse
- Carrying out general warehouse duties as needed, including:
- Goods in / goods out
- Hose assembly and quality checks
- Identifying threads, fittings and components
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience within the hydraulic hose and fittings industry
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic products
- Previous experience using Sage 200
- Confident dealing directly with customers and suppliers
- Organised, commercially aware and reliable
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility
