SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term roles starting ASAP These flexible opportunities are ideal for teaching assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in Trafford and the surrounding areas.Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities across a range of school environments
• Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions
• Promote inclusive practices and help pupils access the curriculum
• Provide one-to-one and small group support
• Implement behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation techniques
• Monitor and record pupil progress and development
• Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Holds a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification
• Has experience supporting pupils with SEND in primary or secondary settings
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience
• Understands a range of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
• Works effectively as part of a team and independently
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a SEND Teaching Assistant.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
