Crynodeb
The nursing service provides support for many clinics providing a large range of specialities such as Surgical, medical, Paediatric, Dermatology, ENT, Minor OPs Rheumatology, One Stop Breast Clinic, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Vascular, Haematology, Elderly Care, Renal, Pain Control, Endocrine and Urology. Main responsibilities consists of day to day management of clinics, deputising in the absence of sister, Participate in the emergency bleep holder schedule, management of potential complaints, undertake junior staffs PDR, supervision of staffs, chaperoning, venepuncture, assisting with minor procedures, day cases, ECGs, bladder scans and flow rates. The post holder role is an integral part within the team and is a reference point for multi disciplinary team. Many specialists nurse-led services provide the opportunity for all nurses to acquire new skills and knowledge.
