TSH Sports Horses are looking for a motivated Equine Groom Apprentice who will be enrolled on either Level 2 or Level 3 Equine training and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of yard life.
Key Responsibilities:
General yard duties
Daily care of horses (feeding, grooming, turnout, stable management)
Lunging horses
Assisting with exercise and turnout routines
Opportunity to ride for the right candidate
Working hours;
3 Days per Week, working from 8:30am until 5:30pm with 1 hour lunch break
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
Skills required
Some prior equine experience preferred (suitable for either Level 2 or Level 3)
Enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to learn
Enjoy working as part of a team in a busy yard environment
Prospects
Progression to Level 3 Senior Groom
Possibility of full time employment on completion of the apprenticeship
Qualification / Standard : ST0166 Equine groom
