The Urology Service is excited to advertise for a Senior Endourology Clinical Fellow post on a 6 or 12 month fixed term post. This post will be based at the City Hospital Campus but will also include some work at Queens Medical Centre Campus.

The job entails working alongside a team of four subspecialist stone surgeons in a tertiary referral centre, with a strong track record of innovation in stone surgery. We have a dedicated on-site lithotripter with the capacity to deliver emergency ESWL and primary ureteroscopy with a laser in emergency theatres. It is anticipated that the endourology fellow will contribute to this service.

There are subspecialist stone theatre lists comprising a wide range of endourological procedures, including rigid ureteroscopy, flexible ureteroscopy, PCNL, Mini-PCNL, and ultra-mini-PCNL. We have the largest UK experience of mini-PCNL, having offered the service since 2008. Both prone and supine PCNLs are performed in our unit, and we do 70-80 PNCLs a year along with over 300 ureteroscopies. We have an endourology theatre suite with dedicated staff and equipment. There may also be the opportunity to gain some experience in paediatric stone surgery (ureteroscopy and PCNL).

It is anticipated that the appointee will already have experience in endourology to CCT level, and this post will provide an opportunity to consolidate these skills and gain further experience with more advanced techniques and procedures.

For an August 2026 start.
