We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our young learners. Your ability to manage and communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in driving the success of our nursery.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Manage daily activities, ensuring that each child’s individual needs are met through tailored learning experiences.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster strong relationships and support children's development.
Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early education while mentoring junior staff members.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to their developmental reports.
Create an engaging and safe nursery environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
Collaborate with the team to plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
A qualification in Early Childhood Education at level 3 is desired but if not then candidate must be willing to work towards level 3.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others within the team.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
A solid understanding of child development principles and the EYFS framework is crucial for success in this role.
Experience managing groups of children while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
