Highway and Transport – Enhancing Lives, Building Communities
Are you looking to start or develop your career in Civil Enforcement or Parking Services?
We are looking for individuals with strong people skills and a keen eye for detail, to join our parking enforcement team to ensure parking restrictions are enforced across Wiltshire.
Parking Services help to manage and reconcile the competing demands for parking from residents, commuters, businesses, shoppers and visitors as well as improve road safety for all sections of the community.
Our work follows a four week rolling rota, with various shifts between 7am and 8pm, 7 days per week.
This role will involve being outside in all weathers, with lots of walking as well as driving duties.
It is essential that applicants hold a full UK driving license, for both a manual and an automatic vehicle.
The safety of our team is our top priority. That is why we supply all the necessary clothing and gear to ensure our teams safety on the job. We also offer a generous annual leave entitlement alongside an extensive range of benefits exclusive to Wiltshire Council employees!
Our commitment is to make parking effortless for everyone. If you have strong customer service skills and can remain polite and calm when handling difficult situations, we want to hear from you.
Why us?
Wiltshire Council is a friendly, welcoming place to work, with a 'One Council' ethos. That’s why we focus on getting the things that matter to our people right.
The council is committed to creating an environment of positive working relationships where everyone feels engaged, supported and able to thrive. Our Identity is a framework which sets out how we are all expected to lead, work and act to deliver our services. We will not tolerate discrimination, bullying or harassment of any kind. Everyone is expected to promote a culture of inclusion, dignity, trust and respect which is underpinned by our vision and Our Identity framework.
