Are you an experienced Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Practitioner, or someone with relevant experience working with young children?

Are you looking for flexible work where you can choose the days you work while gaining experience across different early years settings?

Do you enjoy supporting young children to feel safe, confident, and ready to learn through play?

I’m Dan, and I’ve been working closely with schools and early years settings for the past two years, supporting them with their recruitment needs. I’m currently working with a number of nurseries and primary schools in South Ockendon who are looking for flexible Early Years Practitioners to support children across EYFS. This role is ideal for anyone seeking day-to-day, short-term, or ongoing work, depending on availability.

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will support children through play-based learning, help with daily routines, and work closely with other staff to create a warm, engaging, and inclusive environment. You may support children one-to-one or in small groups and assist with observations and general classroom or nursery support. Working hours are typically between 8:00am and 4:00pm, depending on the setting.

The successful Early Years Practitioner will have:

  • Experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool, or school setting

  • A caring, patient, and nurturing approach

  • Confidence supporting early learning and development

  • The ability to adapt quickly to new settings and routines

  • A reliable and professional attitude

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one

    In return, you can expect:

    • Flexible work to fit around your availability

    • Support from a dedicated team of consultants available 24/7

    • Access to our Guaranteed Payment Scheme (T&Cs apply)

    • CPD courses and certificates through the My-Progression channel

    • Competitive rates of pay

    • TeacherActive Referral Scheme with the chance to earn up to £100 (T&Cs apply)

    • PAYE pay, with tax and National Insurance handled correctly and no hidden charges
