WORKING HOURS: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday working paid at double time
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Paint Sprayer to join a busy workshop environment supporting the preparation and finishing of industrial equipment.
As a Paint Sprayer you will be responsible for surface preparation, masking, spraying, and reassembly, ensuring all work meets required quality, safety, and cleanliness standards.
The Paint Sprayer will also assist with basic mechanical tasks such as tyre changes and steam cleaning, working independently to agreed timeframes while maintaining a safe and organised workspace.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Paint Sprayer include:
• Surface Inspection: Checking equipment for contamination, damage, and imperfections
• Preparation Work: Cleaning, degreasing, sanding, filling, and masking surfaces prior to painting
• Disassembly and Reassembly: Removing and refitting wheels, panels, batteries, and attachments
• Spray Painting: Applying 2-pack paint to forklifts and attachments to a high-quality finish
• Workshop Support: Preparing paints, cleaning tools, and organising materials
• Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to safe working practices within the workshop and spray booth
• Equipment Handling: Using compressors, air guns, clean air systems, and heating controls correctly
• General Maintenance: Carrying out basic mechanical tasks such as tyre changes and steam cleaning
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience in paint preparation, spray painting, or a similar industrial role
• Proven knowledge of surface preparation techniques and 2-pack paint systems
• Experience using sanding, masking, priming, and spray equipment
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety regulations
• Ability to work independently with good timekeeping and attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina for manual tasks
• Basic mechanical knowledge, with training provided where required
