Hours: Monday–Friday 08:30–17:00, Saturdays on a rota 08:00–12:00
Salary: £36,000 inc Bonus
Overview
I’m currently supporting a well‑established automotive retailer in Chelmsford who are looking to add an experienced Tyre Technician to their workshop team. This is a great opportunity to join a respected dealer group offering stability, strong earning potential, and a comprehensive benefits package.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of tyre fitting, maintenance and repair. You’ll be working in a busy workshop environment, managing your own workload and ensuring customers receive a professional, efficient service.
Key Duties
- Fitting and replacing tyres
- Wheel balancing
- Wheel alignment
- Puncture repairs
- Working with tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
- Managing daily job flow and maintaining high service standards
What You’ll Need
- Previous experience as a Tyre Technician or in a similar role
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
- Confidence using basic computer systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good verbal, written and numerical skills
