This role is to start in March 2026, and we’re open to discussing flexible opportunities to work up to 37 hours per week, Term Time Only or All Year Round!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Ø Providing hands on HR support and advice to academy leaders and staff across multiple academies
Ø Supporting all aspects of casework including attendance, performance, conduct, and grievance matters
Ø Advising on policy, compliance, and employee relations in line with employment law and education specific regulations
Ø Partnering with leaders to build a positive, inclusive, and high performing culture
Ø Collaborating with the wider Trust HR team on projects and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For:
Ø Proven experience in an HR Advisor or similar level role
Ø Strong knowledge of current employment law and HR best practice
Ø Confident handling employee relations casework from start to finish
Ø Ability to build trusted relationships and communicate clearly at all levels
Ø Experience in education or the public sector is desirable but not essential
Ø CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is advantageous
Why Join Our Trust?
Ø Be part of a growing organisation that puts people first
Ø Work with a team that values collaboration, integrity, and innovation
Ø Enjoy a varied, autonomous role where your work truly makes a difference
Ø Access to ongoing professional development and wellbeing support
Ø Flexible working opportunities depending on academy needs
Salary: Grade I Points 29 to 33 (£39,862 to £44,075 Full Time/All-Year-Round Equivalent).
Hours: 37 hours per week / All Year Round (52 Weeks) / Temporary.
Open to discussing flexible opportunities to work up to 37 hours per week, Term Time Only or All Year Round!
If this sounds like it could be the role for you, we’d love to hear from you! If you have any questions about the role or want to find out more before applying, please contact Helen Ruddle, Director of HR on helen.ruddle@deltatrust.org.uk

Further details about the role
In accordance with DfE Keeping Children Safe in Education, an online search will be completed on all shortlisted applicants prior to interview. Any relevant information will be discussed further with the applicant during the recruitment process.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding the welfare of its students and the successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate and checks of the relevant barred list / prohibition lists.
Delta Academies Trust undertake to treat all applicants for posts fairly and not to discriminate unfairly against volunteers or paid staff who voluntarily reveal that they have a criminal conviction. Equally, we will not discriminate unfairly against volunteers or paid staff where a Disclosure and Barring Service check reveals a criminal conviction or other information about offences.
Therefore, we will consider job applicants who have a criminal record based on their skills, abilities, experience, knowledge and, where needed, qualifications and training. However, our approach depends on the job, and whether it is covered by, or exempt from, the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
We are proud to be a Disability Confident employer and guarantee an interview to anyone disclosing a disability whose application meets the minimum criteria for the post. However, it is important to note that if we receive a high volume of applications, we may limit the numbers of interviews offered to people with and without a disability.
