About the role. We’re now looking for a Housing Officer (Supported Living) to join our team on a fixed-term basis. If you’re organised, proactive, have your own vehicle, and are ready to support the care and wellbeing of our tenants, we’d love to hear from you. This is a fixed-term role for up 9 month working 36.25 hours per week. The position is based in our Leeds office, with frequent travel required across the wider North East, Doncaster, Hull, and Sheffield as an example. You’ll primarily work from home, with travel needed for property visits, training, and team meetings. This is a varied and rewarding role that blends time spent visiting properties and tenants with essential administrative work. You’ll be equipped with everything you need to build strong, positive relationships with tenants and partner agencies, ensuring homes are safe, well-maintained, and that tenants feel fully supported. What you’ll be doing. Conduct property visits (at least twice yearly) to check condition, maintenance, repairs, and health & safety.Manage tenant sign-ups and terminations.Address anti-social behaviour and tenancy management issues.Support tenants with additional needs (learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions) in partnership with support providers.Liaise with external agencies and maintain accurate records. Our Housing Officers work across a range of supported living properties-from one-bed flats to shared houses-supporting adults with diverse disabilities and needs. What We Are Looking For. A good standard of education (GCSEs or equivalent) or relevant experience, with strong IT and computer literacy skills.Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences.An understanding of learning disabilities and autism.Experience working within housing management.A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.Willingness to travel when required. Desirable but not essential. Housing-related qualifications. Experience in specialised supported housing.Experience of working in an agile and flexible way.Experience maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Why Progress?
