About this Opportunity
Would you like to work in a team that directly impacts the performance of the group? Well, we're looking for a Analyst to join the Financial Risk Insight & Quantification Team (FINRIQ).
Within this exciting position you'll help manage financial risks across a range of unsecured products. You'll produce high-quality analysis and provide advice to senior decision makers. You'll have to be dynamic to react to the ever changing economic outlook. We're currently undergoing significant change to utilise better technology and upgraded models. The FINRIQ team utilise Capital & Impairment models to understand the financial risk of the group. Contributing to improving customer value, managing risk, and encouraging a safe, strong bank for our customers. Within the team, we promote a positive, collaborative and creative environment. The Unsecured insight team within FINRIQ understand the financial risks for Cards, Loans and a number of unsecured products. Working as part of the team, you'll be coordinating and delivering analysis and forecasts to support the business. Key roles include:
- Support the monthly reporting processes, producing actionable insights to assist the business in making informed decisions.
- Production of key Impairment & Capital MI - Identifying key trends/messages to support both internal and external reporting.
- Continually enhance internal MI to drive better insight into the Unsecured portfolios.
- Using tools such as SAS, PowerBI, Tableau and Excel to manipulate and interrogate portfolio data.
- Use new and existing technology to deliver incremental improvements and automation in analysis & reporting.

What you'll need
- Be an organised individual who is passionate about data insights. You'll have a highly analytical approach to problem solving.
- Proficiency in Excel including writing advanced formulae to summarise data.
- Experience of statistical packages or programming languages (e.g., SAS, SQL, Python, R).
- Be able to work at a fast pace and have an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrate good time management and planning/organisation skills, adapting to changing priorities.
- Ability to work well within a team environment, without the need for close supervision. You'll be a positive contributor taking an active role in progressing yours and others development.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, on technical subject matter.
