Your new role
- Processing & coding supplier invoices accurately and promptly
- Reconciling supplier statements & resolving discrepancies
- Managing weekly and monthly payment runs
- Reviewing staff expenses & corporate card transactions
- Posting to multi‑currency bank accounts
- Maintaining the AP ledger with full accuracy
- Supporting month‑end close, including accruals & reporting
- Liaising with internal teams to resolve invoice/payment queries
- Ensuring VAT compliance & adherence to internal controls
- Supporting internal & external audits with required documentation
- Assisting with system improvements & finance process efficiencies
- Contributing to ad hoc finance projects
What you'll need to succeed - 5-10 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Strong attention to detail in high‑volume environments
- Solid understanding of double entry & an interest in accountancy
- Strong organisational skills & ability to manage deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel + experience with SAP/Sage or similar
- Excellent communication skills & stakeholder relationship building
- Knowledge of VAT & expense policies
- SAP Concur experience (desirable)
- AAT qualification (desirable, not essential)
