About the role

We're looking for a caring, patient and values-driven Support Worker to join our team in RG41, supporting three gentlemen aged 30s-40s with autism and learning disabilities.

This is a warm, sociable home where each person has their own routines, interests and independence levels. Support is provided through a mix of 1:1 and shared support, depending on each individual's needs and activities.

Who you will be supporting

You'll be working with three gentlemen who each enjoy a rich and varied lifestyle:

Gent 1 - Creative & Independent

- Very independent and enjoys leading his own routines

- Talented artist - loves drawing

- Enjoys PlayStation and creative downtime

Gent 2 - Social & Energetic

- Loves dancing and socialising

- Enjoys bowling and visits to restaurants

- Thrives with upbeat, encouraging support

Gent 3 - Fun & Outgoing

- Loves classic TV competitions (especially Who Wants to Be a Millionaire)

- Enjoys football, bowling, gym sessions and meals out

- Active and enjoys getting out into the community

Family involvement:
Family is heavily involved, so strong communication, respect and consistency are essential.

What you will be doing

This role is varied and rewarding, with opportunities to support each person to lead a fulfilled and confident life.

Your responsibilities include:

- Providing personal care (for 1 gentleman)

- Supporting with daily routines and independence

- Offering friendly, patient emotional support

- Preparing meals for 2 individuals

- Administering medication for 1 individual

- Engaging in community activities, hobbies and outings

- Encouraging confidence, wellbeing and choice

- Building strong, trusting relationships with family members

No hoists, no wheelchair use and no support with eating are required in this home.

Shift patterns

This is a 22.5-hour mixed-shift role, including:

- 7:00am - 2:30pm

- 2:30pm - 10:00pm

Rotas are shared in advance to support a positive work-life balance.
Sleep-ins may occasionally be required (£50 per sleep-in).

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

- Caring and empathetic

- A good listener

- Patient and calm

- Values-driven and committed

- Able to build positive, respectful relationships

- Comfortable supporting three people with varied needs and personalities

- A driver (preferred but not essential)

Experience is welcome but not required — full training is provided.
