About the Team

This role is responsible for the network of Practice Excellence Partners, the PBS function and key strategic projects. The team is designed to strengthen service delivery, reduce restrictive practices and cultivate a compassionate, values‑led workforce culture. Autistic adults, families and lived‑experience representatives will be key partners in shaping the work and you will represent NAS in external forums, regulatory discussions and national networks focused on ethical practice, PBS and adult social care improvement.

About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic, values driven leader to transform practice quality and workforce culture across Adult Services. In this national role, you’ll embed trauma-informed, rights based and autism informed practice, reduce restrictive interventions, and champion outstanding support for autistic adults.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead on embedding the Practice Excellence Framework, ensuring it becomes fully integrated with ongoing service improvement.
  • Provide strategic direction for Practice Excellence Partners and the PBS function, driving improvements and reducing restrictive practices.
  • Ensure autistic people and families play a central role in shaping practice through lived‑experience panels, co‑produced learning opportunities and authentic engagement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience leading practice improvement and cultural transformation within adult social care or a closely related sector.
  • Experience reducing restrictive practices and leading PBS‑aligned, trauma‑informed, rights‑based approaches.
  • An influential communicator who can build strong relationships, coach leaders, and embed consistent, values led practice across multiple regions.

This advert is for a full-time position at 35 Hours per week.

This role is Homebased based.
