The Best Connection is currently recruiting Recycling Operatives / General Operatives to join a well-established recycling facility based in Elland. This is a hands-on, physical role offering stable work within an essential and growing industry.

The Role

Working on site at our client's recycling facility, you will play a key role in the processing and recycling of waste materials. This is a varied position where no two days are the same, requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to health and safety.

️ Key Responsibilities

  • Sorting and separating recyclable materials such as plastics, metals, and electronic waste

  • Manual dismantling and breakdown of items to prepare materials for recycling

  • Working on or alongside conveyor systems and processing areas

  • Loading and unloading materials safely

  • Operating basic equipment and tools (training provided where required)

  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment

  • Adhering to all health & safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE

  • Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily targets

What We're Looking For

  • A reliable and hardworking individual with a positive attitude

  • Comfortable working in a physical, industrial environment

  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Willingness to carry out manual and repetitive tasks

  • Previous recycling, warehouse, or production experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

Shifts & Environment

  • Various shift patterns may be available (days, afternoons, or rotating shifts)

  • The role is site-based and can involve standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks

  • The working environment may be noisy and dusty, typical of a recycling facility
