Qualifications Registered Dental nurse with NEBDN national Diploma in Dental Nursing or equivalent. Experience Experience/training to Diploma level or equivalent. Good interpersonal and communication skills Good time management skills including ability to work to set deadlines. Ability to work well as part of the team Ability to work flexibly, quickly and accurately. Knowledge and Awareness To have an understanding of the types of patients treated by the Community Dental Services To have a good knowledge of : Infection control Work prioritisation Health & Safety issues. Skills and Abilities Develop and maintain positive working relationships Maintain a safe working environment for self and others Willingness to take on tasks. Good skills both written and verbal to communicate with patients with learning disabilities and all Community Dental Services patient groups Computer skills and ability to learn clinical applications of computer system currently in use Basic keyboard skills. Able to work in a variety of settings Able to carry out the physical requirements of the role
