About the role…
As Head of Sales (Light Rail) you will develop the capabilities, process and governance for the Major Projects Sales function. The overall responsibility for the direction, strategic development, performance of Major Projects Sales. Manage customer interactions and expectations and meet your targets and those of the team as a whole. Develop training and development plans for individuals and achieve maximum profitability and growth in accordance with group aspirations
As Head of Sales (Light Rail) you will…
Develop strategic plans for team sales activities to include sales strategy to achieve agreed targets, effective search for leads/prospects, penetrate new markets
Maintain accurate records of leads/prospect, pricing, sales and activities via CRM & SharePoint and manage the development and preparation of the sales strategy and general business planning
Direct, manage and carry out presentations, proposals and maintain contact with client/customers for feedback and to obtain client/customer satisfaction Direct, manage and carry out recruitment of team members, subject to agreed criteria
Train and appraise individual team members to ensure targets are met and direct and manage the performance and development of team members
Reporting (content and format as agreed) time, to Line Manager
Direct and manage the preparation and agreement of individual action plans and targets for all team members
Set an example for team members of commitment, sales activities, work ethics and habits and personal character
Adhere to all Group policies and procedures
Interact and co-operate with the all members of the group and its suppliers and clients/customers
From time to time, you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role even where these fall outside of your own department/team.
You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with the Line Manager. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the BU generally
About you…
Degree/HNC/D in Electrical Engineering or suitable industry experience
Experience in Sales of Electrical Infrastructure
Good understanding of client/customer and market requirements and dynamics
Using CRM and sales performance software
Ability of sales management and supplier relationship management and Leadership ability to drive a sales team
Project management skills and have a collaborative approach
Good communication skills with problem solving attitude and the ability to work under pressure
Data Analysis
Ability to open doors and manage a significant sales pipeline and interaction with Customers and developing strong relationships
Strong leadership
Communication and interpersonal skills
Deep understanding of sales processes, a strategic thinker with a customer orientated mindset
Adaptable, problem solver and great communicator with the ability to learn, unlearn and relearn
Full driving license
