SEND Teacher – Basildon

Full Time | Long-Term | ASAP Start

TeacherActive is working closely with a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Basildon, and we are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team full time, starting as soon as possible on a long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to making a real difference to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and complex needs.

The Role:

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs

  
  

• Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

  
  

• Working closely with support staff, SENCOs and external professionals

  
  

• Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly

  
  

• Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff

  
  The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification

    
    

  • Experience teaching children with SEND (school or specialist setting experience desirable)

    
    

  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach

    
    

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

    
    

  • A genuine passion for inclusive education
