An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as an Environmental Planning Team Leader (Arboriculture and Ecology). This is a full time role (37 hours) and sits within the Strategic and Environmental Planning Team, a multidisciplinary group of professionals leading on plan making, arboriculture and ecology, and heritage, design and landscape. This is a key role in the Council’s Planning Service, leading a team of specialists to advise on the most complex development and policy matters across the Council.

Lead the strategic direction of the team to deliver high value environmental outcomes for the council
Manage a team of specialists to advise on complex development and matters
Be the lead specialist informing development of environmental corporate policy

About you:
You will:
Have extensive environmental planning experience in either ecology or arboriculture
Have the ambition and drive to lead and develop a team of environmental specialists
Have a degree in your specialist area and be a member of a relevant professional body
