If so, this could be the ideal opportunity for you:
We have 5 teams needing a Product Manager who can lead and shape the direction for their product, make key decisions and advocate for the user.
We have a thriving product community here at DWP and offer great learning and development alongside your role.
Product Managers play a critical role at the heart of DWP Digital’s mission: ensuring the UK public receives the vital financial support they rely on, quickly, securely and with dignity. By leading products that underpin social security delivery, you’ll help solve complex problems at scale; shaping services used by millions every day. Whether improving how we support disabled people, helping citizens manage and repay debt fairly, or enabling colleagues through powerful corporate and collaboration tools, your decisions will directly influence the quality and efficiency of welfare services across the UK.
In DWP Digital, Product Managers are empowered to set vision, make evidence-based decisions and champion user needs from discovery through to delivery. You’ll guide multidisciplinary teams, harness user insight, and drive continuous improvement to ensure our products are intuitive, inclusive and impactful. This is your opportunity to use your leadership and product expertise for genuine public good; improving lives, strengthening systems, and building modern digital services that work for everyone.
As a Product Manager, you will lead and drive the product development for a part of our organisation, major programme or core service.
You will be as passionate about people as you are about products, leading teams to define, design and deliver your vision and realise the value for your users.
We have 5 roles available in the following areas:
- Debt – this area looks after products that cover varying types of debt and how best we gather that from users
- Health & Disability – a large portfolio of product that support users when they need financial help when they have a health condition or disability
- Corporate Services – this area covers common systems and tools that help our colleagues do their best job
- Communication and Collaboration – this area covers products under the Microsoft 365 product portfolio including SharePoint Online, One Drive, Teams, Outlook, Office, Lists and Forms.
- Core Digital Services – this role is leading on ensuring we rebuild existing legacy services to better meet user needs.
As an experienced Product Manager, you will bring a strong track record of shaping product vision and enabling teams to deliver high‑quality, user‑centred services. You will demonstrate:
- Proven leadership in setting product direction, defining clear outcomes, and guiding multidisciplinary teams to create products and services that genuinely meet user needs.
- Expertise in developing product strategy and value‑driven roadmaps that articulate priorities, inspire stakeholders, and provide a clear path from discovery through to delivery.
- Experience in building and maturing product capability, continuously improving product quality, ways of working, and organisational understanding of product management.
- A deep commitment to customer insight and User‑Centred Design, ensuring decisions are informed by evidence, research, and a high level of user awareness to shape accessible and effective digital services.
As a Product Manager, you are also expected to be a strong leader who understand product techniques and the importance of making the right decision.
