Warehouse Operative

Portsmouth | Full-time | £24,111.36 per annum
36 hours per week | Monday-Thursday, 06:30-16:00

About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key part in the smooth running of our production and dispatch processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Picking and locating materials and supplies listed on production orders
  • Loading and unloading pallets and cartons from vehicles
  • Ensuring compliance with packing, materials handling, safety, and equipment procedures
  • Labelling, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment
  • Working individually or as part of a team to meet daily targets
  • Rotating across different workstations as required
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret information accurately
  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Knowledge of inventory control
  • Ability to lift heavy materials
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Forklift experience is desirable (training can be provided)

What We Offer

  • £24,111.36 per annum
  • 36-hour working week (Monday-Thursday, 06:30-16:00)
  • 180 hours annual leave (including up to 27 hours reserved for Christmas shutdown)
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Full training and support provided

Additional Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be eligible to live and work in the UK and provide valid proof of right to work
  • Undergo a satisfactory CRB/Police Check as part of the recruitment process
