A well-respected and inclusive secondary school in Kensington is looking to appoint a Graduate Tutor to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are academically confident, enthusiastic, and keen to make a positive impact on young people’s learning.

The Role – Graduate Tutor

As a Graduate Tutor, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide targeted academic support and help students develop confidence, subject understanding, and strong study habits.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group tutoring sessions to support learning
• Assisting students across a range of subjects, including core curriculum areas.
• Supporting pupils during lessons to promote engagement and focus.
• Delivering structured intervention sessions to help raise attainment.
• Helping students develop effective revision and study strategies.
• Monitoring progress and feeding back to teachers and pastoral staff.
• Contributing to a positive, calm, and academically focused learning environment.

This role offers hands-on experience and a realistic insight into day-to-day life in a secondary school.

Candidate Profile

The school is keen to hear from graduates who demonstrate:

• A 2:1 degree or above in any academic subject.
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• A professional, reliable, and proactive approach.
• The ambition to progress into teacher training or another education-related pathway.
• Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential.
