An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Cancer Services Team for one MDT Cancer Pathway Tracker.
We are looking for a flexible and self-motivated administrator with good attention to detail and the initiative to work independently. This is a busy and demanding role requiring a high level of communication and organisational skills.
The MDT patient tracker will identify all patients that have received a suspected referral under all Cancer Pathways and will proactively track and ensure patients receive and attend their first appointment/ Diagnostic within agreed targets of the referral date and escalate any potential delays to the relevant Specialities and Cancer Team Leaders.
The MDT Team Patient Tracker will assist the MDT Co-ordinators as required by the MDT Manager in periods of sickness, annual leave and any other absences.
The Cancer Pathway Tracker plays an essential role to ensure timely management of patients with suspected and / or diagnosed cancer, highlighting potential breaches and taking appropriate actions to ensure the Trust can achieve the national and local cancer targets.
The role requires developing excellent working relationships with many key stakeholders such as Consultants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Service Management teams and Cancer Services teams at other Trusts.
The successful applicant will be patient focused; have excellent communication and organisational skills; be familiar with hospital computer systems and have good IT skills including excel.
