We are seeking anenthusiastic and experienced Band 6 Specialist Community Dietitianto join ourCommunity Dietetics Teamon a fixed-term, part-time basis.
Based atBedford Hospital, the community dietetic team works closely with acute and specialist dietetic teams to provide seamless, patient-centred care.
The team has full access toremote working, with all patient records onSystmOne, allowing for flexible working arrangements. You will be provided with a laptop and mobile phone to support this.
You will have access toad hoc support and clinical supervisionacross the teams. We value professional development and personal interests, offering opportunities for bothinternal and external CPD, alongside a structured feedback programme within the department. We also take pride in supportingstudent dietitiansfrom the University of Hertfordshire.
Audit and service improvement form a key part of our work, helping us meet the growing demands on our services.
This role delivers aspecialist community dietetic service across North Bedfordshire, managing a complex caseload of patients inoutpatient clinics, home visits, care homes, including those receivinghome enteral feeding.
A key focus of the role is supporting theFood First prescribing project, improving patients’ nutritional outcomes while reducing unnecessary prescribing of oral nutritional supplements.
