A Vacancy at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.
Join our new Assertive Outreach Team as a Support, Time & Recovery (STR) Worker (Band 4) and help shape a service that makes a real difference for adults with severe and enduring mental health needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals who find it difficult to engage with traditional services, often facing challenges such as substance misuse, homelessness, or social isolation.
You’ll be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, providing intensive, flexible, and person-centred support that empowers service users to achieve greater stability, independence, and quality of life. If you’re passionate about inclusion, recovery, and helping people overcome barriers, we want to hear from you. Be part of a team that values compassion, innovation, and evidence-based practice, and help build a service that truly transforms lives.
You will be required to travel independently around the county and will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have the use of a vehicle. Unfortunately, public transport will not provide enough reliable transportation to enable you to meet the needs of the service. Please confirm in your application that you meet the specified criteria.
*DVLA have a number of reciprocal arrangements with overseas countries, for further information please visit the DVLA website.
• As an STR Worker in the Assertive Outreach Team, you will directly engage with adults experiencing complex mental health conditions who struggle to access or engage with services. • Your role will involve building trust, assessing immediate needs and risks, and co-ordinating care to help service users sustain housing, improve quality of life, and move towards greater independence.
• You’ll support access to activities and appointments, contribute to risk management, and work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies. Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development is essential.
