As a Configuration Lead, you will coordinate and lead a team of Systems Administrators, providing technical and configuration management expertise for the development and deployment of systems. Your role will involve leading the configuration of solutions to meet clinical and operational requirements, working closely with the Systems Support Manager, Programme Team, and operational staff to ensure systems are configured correctly. You will support the implementation of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and other dependent technologies, ensuring they are clinically and operationally fit for purpose. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the delivery of the Trusts new EPR system, working in partnership with our partners and suppliers, and analysing and suggesting ways to improve current workflows and working practices. Additionally, you will facilitate agreement for changes in working practices with appropriate stakeholders, match agreed workflows with those built into the suppliers EPR system and assist with testing the systems to ensure they are safe, usable, secure, and robust. You will supervise others and participate in their education and development, ensuring the team meets all set deadlines in collaboration with the Programme Manager and Project Managers. Your duties will also involve managing and distributing emails from the supplier, developing specialist configuration knowledge, assisting the team with troubleshooting problems, and addressing questions from end users regarding the application. You will work with report writers to ensure the application produces all required reports, maintain regular communication with relevant teams and supplier staff, and work with ICT Trainers to incorporate feedback from training sessions into future developments. You will be responsible for your own area of work, working autonomously to plan and organize your workload to meet multiple and often conflicting deadlines. You will participate in meetings to discuss workflows and areas of concern, demonstrate build work to staff, and help oversee and enable support to end-users through regular meetings. Ensuring compliance with programme changes and change control mechanisms, and maintaining accurate documentation, will also be key aspects of your role.
