The National Trust is a busy organisation that has a lot going on at all times - you can guarantee that no day is the same, so you’ll have to love variety. As Facilities & Support Services Co-ordinator you’ll report to the Facilities and Support Services Manager to assist day to day operations.
You’ll always champion best practice, be confident challenging the norm when you think there’s a better way of doing something. You’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of an efficient, effective, and flexible facilities service, to enable the successful operation of the property. You’ll support the properties to meet objectives by ensuring high standards are always delivered and maintained whilst following procedures and conservation guidelines.
Salary: £13,396.50 pro rata (FTE £26,793 per annum)
Contract: Permanent
Hours/ working pattern: 975 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
As a multi-site property group in the English Riviera and South Devon Coast which includes Greenway House and Coleton Fishacre House, a driving licence is essential.
As a 7 day a week operation, there may be a requirement to work the occasional weekend and bank holiday throughout the year.

Working across a portfolio of listed buildings, grounds and gardens in South Devon, working days are subject to the needs of the property and will be varied throughout the year.
The Facilities and Support Team is integral to the services provided and sensitive to the needs of our hundreds of thousands of paying visitors a year. We provide 7 day a week cover most of the year and are sympathetic to the working environment of our colleagues, we do all we can to make it happen! We do our best to ensure minimal disruption whilst ensuring the facilities run efficiently, without waste and safely.
What you'll be doing
This is a varied role and you will be responsible for the administration of the regular building tasks and compliance work, facilitating access, and making sure the overall presentation of the property is always at its best. This may require you to be desk based to file compliance reports, complete purchase orders and respond to emails or be practical and clean windows, manage waste, complete stock takes and greet visitors and contractors.

You should have worked in a customer-facing or operational support role, ideally within a visitor attraction or property management setting.
Understanding safety legislation and being able to carry out risk assessments is essential for maintaining a safe environment.
You’ll need to be confident using Microsoft Office and digital platforms to manage records, communications, and marketing tasks.
The role involves working closely with colleagues and volunteers, so being a collaborative team player is key.
You must be adaptable and committed to delivering high standards of service across public areas and facilities.

Experience in a facilities & business services environment
knowledge of health & safety, fire & security procedures
experience of records management and information systems including good IT skills (Microsoft Office, including Excel)
excellent communication skills
to be a good team player to have a proactive, solution-focused approach to problem solving
to have good stakeholder management and customer service skills high attention to detail with effective time and workload management
