Directorate
As part of the Learning, Teaching & Student Experience Directorate our vision is to provide an inclusive, integrated, and innovative service to students, University staff, external partners and other stakeholders.
What you will be doing:
You will lead the operations of a busy service that removes barriers, promotes inclusive practice, and creates reasonable adjustments to students’ learning programmes and university experience.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills and strong decision-making skills, with evidence of previous experience of line management or team leadership.
You will promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive team culture that supports team cohesion and student access, progression, and retention.
You will have knowledge of relevant legislation & best practices, with experience of writing policies or strategies and experience putting this into practice in managing service-based operations.
You will be responsible for working in partnership with academic colleagues and other professional support teams across the University in identifying opportunities for, and evaluating provision for, disabled students, and providing accurate and up-to date management information.
You will advise colleagues on the policy implications of relevant legislation and guidance to ensure both institutional compliance and to support inclusive practice.
You will have experience of supporting learners with complex & varying needs including through management of casework and multiagency working.
Qualifications/ experience:
Degree plus higher degree or formal professional qualification
