We’re looking for a full time Internal Communications Manager to join our busy Media & Communications team on a 12-month fixed term contract. The role will require working from our Wellingborough office 1 day per week, with flexible hybrid-working options available from home or other Booker sites.
You’ll focus on creating, maintaining, developing, and delivering an internal communications plan that is fit for purpose, supports the business’ agenda, and fully engages our audience over 15k colleagues across the Booker Group. You’ll have line manager responsibility for a part-time Internal Communications Co-ordinator, and work closely with the wider Tesco Group.
This role will suit someone who really wants to make an impact, bring their creative flair, and drive great communications across our business.
- Leading on internal communications for Booker, along with direct line management for a part time Internal Communications Co-ordinator.
- Creating, maintaining, developing and delivering an engaging internal communications plan, including across our weekly colleague newsletter, our internal intranet system, video content.
- Helping to launch a new colleague spotlight video podcast series for internal and external use.
- Creating clear and consistent framework and templates for internal comms.
- Working cross-functionally with internal teams (such as Retail, Catering and Sustainability) to land meaningful and engaging business comms through our different channels for colleagues.
- Working closely with our People function to deliver change projects, and support for our Colleague Networks.
- Support our Operations team with the best way to communicate to colleagues across our branches and distribution centres.
- Utilising key material from the wider Tesco group and adapting for Booker as required.
- Previous experience within a similar role, a background in communications or PR
- Strong written ability with a great attention to detail
- Proven experience delivering engaging communications.
- Confident in dealing with senior stakeholders.
- Motivated and a self-starter.
- Ability to manage deadlines and changing priorities.
