Summary

Are you an experienced Senior Nursery Nurse or Room Leader looking for a new challenge in Manchester?

We are recruiting for a strong, passionate Room Leader to head up a department within a high-quality nursery in the Greater Manchester area. You will lead by example, mentoring a team of practitioners while ensuring the highest standards of care and education are delivered in line with the EYFS.

This role is perfect for a Level 3 qualified practitioner ready to manage their own room and shape the learning environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Nursery Practitioners, ensuring the room runs smoothly and ratios are maintained.

Curriculum Delivery: Oversee the planning and delivery of engaging activities that meet EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) requirements.

Standards: Ensure high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and safeguarding are maintained daily.

Partnerships: Act as a key point of contact for parents, providing feedback on child development and settling-in periods.

Management Support: Assist the Nursery Manager and Deputy with administrative duties and deputise when required.

Skills and Experience Required
Essential: Must hold a full and relevant Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Diploma in Early Years or Childcare (or higher).

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursery setting, with prior experience in a senior or leadership role preferred.

Skills: Strong knowledge of the EYFS, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate a team.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester.
