The Clock House Nursery School is a thriving and growing, family-owned nursery in Lymington. We are proud to offer career progression options with a strong focus on employee well-being within a highly supportive, team working environment.
We are looking for an Assistant Cook to work alongside our Nursery Chef in providing nutritious, wholesome meals for our children.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and cooking healthy meals and snacks
- Support weekly menu planning and special dietary requirements
- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety
- Monitor temperatures, stock rotation, and food storage
- Deliver meals safely to nursery rooms
- Provide cover for the Chef when required
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen experience (early years or catering desirable)
- Food Hygiene Level 2 (Level 3 preferred); training can be completed on employment
- Understanding of allergies and children’s dietary needs
- Positive attitude and strong team work ethic
- Organised and committed to cleanliness and safety
