About Us
Free From Pain is led by Dr George Ampat, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, with a strong focus on the non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of older adults through effective, evidence-based exercise and rehabilitation strategies.
Our programmes include:
Free From Pain — a structured exercise and education programme designed to convert disability into vitality in older adults.
ARISE Orthoprehab — an exercise and education programme for individuals seeking non-surgical management of hip and knee arthritis, or as a prehabilitation programme prior to surgery.
Through these programmes, we combine clinical expertise, exercise therapy, and research to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
We’re looking for a passionate Sports & Exercise Therapist to join our dedicated team—someone who is excited about both clinical work and the opportunity to contribute to research.
The Role
Deliver face-to-face and online therapeutic support focused on older adults.
Provide app-based treatment protocols to patients and monitor progress via the app.
Take part in research projects, including: Data collection & patient follow-ups, Protocol development, Ethics submissions, Manuscript preparation for publication, Have the chance to be named as a co-author on research publications. Training will be provided for contributing to research.
Who We’re Looking For
✅ A qualified Sports Therapist or Exercise Therapist or Physiotherapist
✅ Strong interest in rehabilitation for older adults
✅ Passion for clinical research and contributing to evidence-based practice
✅ Comfortable engaging in both 1-to-1 therapy and group or remote sessions
✅ Organised, proactive, and open to learning new skills
